Description
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Ability to safely troubleshoot, diagnose, service, repair, and maintain all Echo Mountain equipment such as snowcats (primarily Prinoth), snowmobiles, generators, front end loader, UTV, plow trucks, and more
- Participate in and lead safe and reliable summer and winter maintenance programs so that work is accomplished in a complete, orderly and timely manner
- Maintain good working relationships and communicate with co-workers
- Receive daily instructions from Supervisor and/or Management
- High safety responsibility and sensibility to maintain OSHA safe environment for yourself, fellow employees, and guests
- Ensure management is immediately informed and consulted on all abnormal or unusual conditions, incidents, or system malfunctions
- Ensure that all records required by Echo Mountain and any authorities having jurisdiction are maintained and kept up-to-date including all mechanical and operational procedures, daily maintenance, operational logs, failures and incidents
- Maintain a clean and well-organized work area

Requirements Include (but not limited to):
- Valid Driver’s License with no restrictions
- Basic knowledge of desktop computer systems and applications
- Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move more than 100 pounds, and perform other physically demanding skills, including sitting for long periods of time
- Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work and function effectively at high elevations (over 10,500’), in extreme cold, and in other inclement weather conditions
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure/high volume and solve problems or issues
- Ability to ski or snowboard, or ride/operate a snowmobile, between on-mountain job assignments
Wage: $60,000 – $100,000, Dependent on Experience

Experience
- Associate’s degree in Diesel Technology or completion of a traineeship or apprenticeship – Required
- Diesel Mechanic Certification – Preferred
- Previous experience in ski area operations or maintenance – Preferred
- At least 4+ Years Experience as a Diesel Mechanic – Required
